Supporting those working in the medical sector, “Repharm” group of health companies is participating in the social network initiative “Saku lielu paldies” (“I say a big thank you”), in this way thanking everyone who is currently working, helping others and fighting the rapid spread of Covid-19 in the country.

“Engaging in a support initiative with a call to support anyone who currently continues to work in particularly high-risk conditions will not literally help us overcome the virus, but people also need emotional support, and we can provide it to those who currently need it the most,” emphasises Dins Šmits, the Chairman of “Repharm’s” Board of Directors.

“Similarly, marking this time, we have committed to presenting a special work created by an artist to the people of Latvia in the urban environment of Riga, where everyone will be able to say thank you to everyone who is fighting the virus, not only virtually but also in person. The wall created by the artist will symbolize people’s kindness, tolerance and enormous selfless work,” D. Šmits emphasises.

By joining the initiative, “Repharm” would like to express its gratitude to anyone who is currently unable to work remotely, to anyone whose work requires close contact with fellow people, and especially to those working in the group who spend their daily lives helping others. “Repharm” is one of the largest employers in Latvia, employing more than 3,700 people, most of whom still continue to take care of the health of the Latvian population. Every day, more than 30 thousand customers are served in the group’s companies such as “Mēness aptieka”, “Association of Health Centres” (VCA) and “Central Laboratory”.

Following the spread of the respiratory virus Covid-19 in Latvia and the measures planned to limit it, the “Association of Health Centres” has been providing the population with the opportunity to be vaccinated against influenza already since August. Similarly, “Mēness aptieka” also provides Latvian residents with free online pharmaceutical care consultations. Whereas “Central Laboratory” has placed more than xx Covid-19 test sampling points throughout Latvia, performing xx tests every day.
