“Repharm” is the biggest employer of national capital in Latvia

“Repharm” group of health companies is the largest employer of national capital in Latvia according to the “TOP500” special edition of “Dienas Bizness”.

During the official ceremony, Minister for Economics Viktors Valainis presented an award to Andrejs Leibovičs, Chairman of the Board of the “Repharm” group of health companies, together with Stella Lapiņa, Chairman of the Board of the “Health Centre Association” and “Central Laboratory”.

 “Our company’s history already goes back 30 years old and we know that our work is of great importance to our country! Together, we perform our main task responsibly – that is, we ensure the supply of medicinal products and the availability of health care services to the public by developing a system of services based on modern medicine in outpatient care. We closely link our performance with Latvia’s economic growth. We look after our employees and are a guarantor of stable infrastructure and secure supply of medicinal products for Latvia. Through our support of the education of young medical professionals, we provide sustainable support for professional regeneration in the medical sector. Everyone at our company has extensive opportunities to develop and improve. The “Repharm” group of health companies combines over 5,000 pharmaceutical, healthcare and medical experts. In Latvia, the company employs almost 4,200 people all over the country. The group has operated in the health sector for the past 30 years and includes 8 dynamic enterprises. In addition to running over 20 “Health Centre Association” clinics, the group also includes the “Central Laboratory” company which has more than 100 laboratories all over Latvia, as well as more than 240 pharmacies under the “Mēness aptieka” brand, along with the medicinal product supply company “Recipe Plus”. Today, “Repharm” also partly owns the Lithuanian company “Medica Klinika”, which has around 1,400 employees. In Lithuania, another enterprises linked to “Repharm” is “Kardiolita”, which is Lithuania’s leading private hospital network with more than 400 employees.

The TOP500 special edition of “Dienas Bizness” has been published for the 27th time. In cooperation with “Lursoft”, “Ernst & Young Baltic” and “Olainfarm”, the TOP500 summarizes the business achievements of Latvia’s biggest enterprises. Special TOP500 awards in five nomination categories were presented at the launch event the TOP500 edition at the Art Museum Riga Bourse on December 6.
